I am a committed teacher and trainer, I take great pride in being a clinical and educational supervisor for newly qualified doctors (foundation training), basic as well as senior surgical trainees including senior fellows. I am also passionate about teaching nursing students as well as mentoring specialist and advanced care practitioners. In my role as Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Warwick, I regularly supervise PhD students, lecture on courses and examine medical students in their professional examinations and find this hugely rewarding. I enjoy imparting my skills in management as faculty on the specialist trainees leadership programme and find my role as examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh very fulfilling.
