Speaking at the GORE MIS Symposium – Birmingham, February 2025

I was honoured to be invited as a speaker at the GORE MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery) Symposium, held in Birmingham from 11–12 February 2025. This event brought together leading surgeons and healthcare professionals to share insights and developments in the evolving field of minimally invasive surgical technologies.

As part of the Medical Mastery Series, the symposium focused on advancing surgical outcomes through innovative techniques, biomaterials, and evidence-based practices in areas including hernia repair, bariatric surgery, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

My session highlighted key developments in:
🔹 Robotic-assisted bariatric surgery
🔹 Optimising outcomes in complex hernia cases
🔹 The role of advanced mesh technology in enhancing recovery and reducing recurrence

It was a privilege to exchange ideas with fellow experts and contribute to the conversation on how technology continues to reshape safe, effective, and patient-centred surgical care.
