Professor Vinod Menon Honoured with an Honorary Life Membership by Legendary Sachin Tendulkar

I am truly honoured to have been conferred with an Honorary Life Membership by none other than the cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. To receive this recognition from someone of his stature is both humbling and deeply meaningful.

As a laparoscopic upper gastrointestinal and obesity surgeon, my passion has always been to advance surgical care, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the evolving field of minimally invasive and robotic surgery. This honour serves as a reminder of the impact that dedication and innovation can have—not just within medicine, but across disciplines.

Sachin’s commitment to excellence in his sport is something I have always admired. His relentless pursuit of perfection and his ability to inspire millions resonate with the same principles I uphold in my medical practice. Whether it’s performing weight-loss surgery, treating acid reflux, or helping patients with complex hernias, my goal remains to provide the highest standard of care.
