Delighted to Participate in IFSO APC 2025 – Mumbai, 20–22 February

I was delighted to attend and contribute to the deliberations at the 9th IFSO Asia Pacific Chapter (APC) Congress, held in conjunction with the 22nd OSSICON (Obesity Surgery Society of India) from 20–22 February 2025 in Mumbai, India.

This international congress brought together leading experts in bariatric and metabolic surgery to explore the theme:
“Bariatric Surgery and Beyond: Redefining Standards for Comprehensive Obesity Care.”

Over the course of the event, there were wide-ranging discussions covering:
🔹 Advances in minimally invasive and robotic bariatric techniques
🔹 Global updates on metabolic surgery outcomes and guidelines
🔹 Emerging challenges and innovations in revision surgeries and long-term care
🔹 The importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in delivering safe, effective obesity care

It was an honour to be part of this world-class meeting alongside colleagues and pioneers in the field, and to witness the continued progress and shared commitment to improving care for patients living with obesity.
